We are saddened to hear of the death of former Commissioner David McWilliams who passed away yesterday in hospital in the United Kingdom.
David was elected as a Commissioner in 2001 and went on to serve the parish until 2004. He was well known and respected around Ballasalla Village and the wider community. David took a great interest in local politics and cared much for the people of the Island. He always wanted to ensure that people were treated fairly and with respect.
Our thoughts and condolences are with David’s family at this sad time, he will be greatly missed.
