Malew Church
Malew Church is a traditional Manx church that has continued to grow and develop over the years.
Located next to the Great Meadow, the church is a bright and welcoming building that has wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, down to Castletown and out to sea.

Derbyhaven Beach
Derbyhaven Beach is a secluded cove that lies on the south-eastern tip of the Isle of Man and forms a crescent around the shallow, east-facing bay. The bay is protected by a breakwater and the waters here are highly favoured by windsurfers, as well as scuba divers and leisure sailing.

Silverdale
Silverdale is a tale of two parts – the first an extensive play area and pretty boating lake and the second a beautiful and secluded historic glen.
The main focal point of the children’s playground is the water-powered carousel, which is as popular now as it was in the Victorian era.

Langness
The Langness Peninsula provides a wealth of fascinating history and wildlife.
The promontory has seen mine workings, ship wrecks, gun batteries and several fortifications, as well as the first Derby horse race (in the 18th century) and more recently a golf course and hotel.
The side of the peninsula which borders Castletown Bay (to the south) has many rock pools when the tide is out and here you can see herons fishing or swallows flying low over the water catching insects. A wealth of other wading birds can be seen as well.

South Barrule
South Barrule is one of the most prominent of the Island’s southern hills. The word Barrule comes from Wardfell, the hill of the ward or watch where men were stationed, day and night to watch for invading ships.
The summit provides some of the richest archaeological remains on the Island.

Ballasalla 2023
Part of the Manx Shop Fronts project, Malew Commissioners funded the photography of the main retail area of the Parish in the centre of Ballasalla in 2023.
